Mark Your Calendar To Seize the Opportunity

From Shannon Belew, About.com GuideNovember 13, 2007

'Tis the season for a little networking and a lot of learning. It seems there are quite a few conferences, teleseminars and podcasts scheduled to help small businesses. If you're a freelancer just getting started, check out The Small Business Show from Microsoft. The four-hour online broadcast will feature start-up stories from a variety of entrepreneurs, sharing their challenges and successes. It airs live, November 14 at 2 PM Eastern and will be available for viewing afterward, as well.

As an established consultant, you may gleam business development and marketing advice from peers and experts featured at the Inc. 500 Online Conference. Former President Bill Clinton was keynote for the live event in September, in addition to break-out sessions led by well-known business advisors and entrepreneurs. You can register to view the recorded, online conference through September 2008.

For women in the consulting and freelancing arena, check out the Women In Charge event from American Express and Entrepreneur Magazine. The January conference will be held in Miami Beach, and is sure to be a good opportunity to network with other female business owners.

Do you know of a great conference, teleseminar or podcast planned for small business owners? Drop us an e-mail at Consulting.Guide@about.com and let us know so we can add it to our list of events for consultants and freelancers.
