Wanted: Female Leaders With a Solid Plan

If you missed the opportunity to submit your idea to the Intuit Start-Up business competition, some of you may have another chance for recognition. Women entrepreneurs in the early stages of business can enter the second annual Cartier Women's Initiative Awards. The international competition will recognize five women business leaders from various continents.

Winners will each receive $20,000 and a full year of business development coaching by McKinsey consultants and Cartier managers. To enter, you must submit a business plan. The business will be evaluated and selected based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity: Degree of innovation shown by the overall business concept
  • Sustainability: Financial impact of business; indicating long-term success
  • Impact: Effect on society (jobs created;effect on environment
  • Clarity: Overall quality and clarity of the material presented
