Consulting Agreement

Definition: A consulting agreement is a binding, legal document or contract between the consult and his or her client. It should be executed, or signed, prior to work starting. The contract typically reviews the terms by which the client agrees to work with the consultant, including such things as stating the scope of work; payment terms (rate/fee and when and how to pay); and identifying the parties for legal purposes.
